| In 2005, our former rector,
the Rev. William Blaine-Wallace, invited Rabbi Howard Berman
to become Rabbi in Residence and the congregation of Boston
Jewish Spirit to hold its services at Emmanuel. Since then
a close relationship has evolved between our congregations,
as we share not only our building but also a variety of joint
programs through what has become the Emmanuel
Center. Rabbi Berman has preached monthly at our Sunday
services since 2005, and the Rev. Pamela Werntz now speaks to the BJS congregation from time to time. Please see a selection of Rabbi Berman's
