Volunteer Opportunities
Materials
- Do you have papers or artifacts from your time at Emmanuel? Please help us fill gaps in our collection and check those boxes in your attic, basement or under beds.
- Who has interviewing skills? What equipment is needed for taking oral histories? Who would be good people to interview? Written memories would be good, too. Help us solicit these memoirs of Emmanuel.
Memory
-
Did you attend Emmanuel in the early seventies? Do you recognize any of the musicians playing with Craig Smith in these two photos? Please contact Mary Chitty if you can help identify anyone.
Expertise
We could use your expertise in photography, writing, research and layout and design. We have both short and long term research projects. Help us find what is out there. Here are two examples:
- The Library of Congress has a film of Theodore Roosevelt and family at Emmanuel in 1917, when his son Archie married Emmanuelite Grace Lockwood.
- The Boston Public Library has our second rector Alexander
Vinton’s sermon at the 1877 consecration of Trinity
Church in Copley Square.
