Prayer Requests
If you would like us to join in prayer for someone or if you
have a special need, thanksgiving or concern to be included
in Prayers of the People, bring your request before worship
to the sacristy (as you face the altar in the sanctuary, its
door is on the left). You may convey your request during the week to the Rev. Pamela Werntz on her voicemail: 617-536-3356 ext. 12 or email Werntz.Emmanuel@gmail.com. |

Volunteer Opportunities |
| |
Coffee Hour
Several people are assigned to bring food each Sunday. Your
donation would not need to be homemade. Twenty cookies or slices
of coffee cake, a bowl of fruit, or cheese and crackers would
do. We drop off our donations in the kitchen before the service,
and the sexton does the rest. Please contact Barbara Oder or
Scott Hadfield if you could help. |
| |
Green Team
We are in the process of landscaping Emmanuel's frontage on Newbury
Street. Our team, headed by Nancy Mueller, welcomes anyone who
could help with soliciting donations,
preparing the beds, planting, and maintenance of our garden.
Please see our webpage or email
us for more information. |
| |
Hospice Care
Volunteers are needed to visit with patients for an hour a week.
The end of life can be a lonely time or a time filled with reminiscence,
laughter and peace. Please call West River Care at 781-707-9586
and ask for Alice Hutter, Volunteer Coordinator. |

Project Bread's FoodSource Hotline
With the high cost of living in the Commonwealth and more
than 522,000 people across the state struggling to put food
on the table, chances are that a friend or neighbor of yours
is having difficulty making ends meet this winter. Project
Bread's FoodSource Hotline can help. It is the only comprehensive
information and referral service for the hungry in Massachusetts.
Counselors can provide information and screen callers for
food stamp eligibility, connect them to school meal programs,
and direct them to emergency food resources right in their
neighborhood. The calls are both personalized and confidential.
Extend your goodwill and reach out to those in need. A call
to Project Bread's FoodSource Hotline may be all it takes
to provide comfort to someone who is struggling. In response
to the increased demand for help, Project Bread's FoodSource
Hotline has extended its hours to: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.
- 7 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 2 p.m, 800-645-8333. |
